THE SAPLING COMPANY, INC. INTRODUCES NEW ANALOG AND DIGITAL HOUSINGS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

HUNTINGDON VALLEY, PA – June 3, 2011 – The Sapling Company unveils its new digital surface and double mount housings, as well as their new analog double mount housing for use in a variety of industries. Sapling’s new housings are improved aesthetically, as well as mechanically.

Among some of the new features the new digital clock housings encompass is the elimination of the external antenna for wireless systems when coupled with Sapling’s new wireless digital clock. With the upgrades that Sapling has made to the wireless digital clock circuit board, all wireless clocks (when paired with our new housings) are fitted with an internal antenna, further enhancing the aesthetic appeal. Along with the aesthetic upgrade, Sapling’s new housings have undergone rigorous and thorough testing to ensure that Sapling’s new housings can withstand a significant amount of duress (similar to what might occur in a school or hospital setting).

“Over the years, Sapling has always recognized the wants and needs of our customers while striving to make our products the most technologically advanced in the field,” said Mitch Gobetz, Sapling’s Marketing Manager. “We have continued that tradition with our new housings giving customers what they’ve asked for in a more durable and attractive housing, as well as the capability to have an internal antenna on the wireless digital clocks.”

The double mount housings also feature an adjustable extension and are capable of mounting to the wall or ceiling. These housings are designed to work in conjunction with the 12” and 16” analog round clock, as well as the 2.5” or 4”, four or six digit digital clocks. The housings have UL compliance pending.

Availability

The new digital housings will be available for Sapling’s digital clock product line starting June 15th, 2011. The analog double mount housing will be available for Sapling’s analog clock product line on July 7th.

Both analog and digital displays are available, and each type of clock has multiple style options to choose from.

Aviation Applications for Time Zone Clocks

In many scenarios time can be critical, while in others both time and time coordination are critical. This is the case when we talk about today’s global world with thousands of airplanes in the air at each given second!

The workload of some air traffic controllers shifts from intense to extremely intense. How do we maintain aviation safety in good record while the skies are congested with so many aircrafts? This is only done by having all parties working on an accurate time base to allow the flight controller to allocate flight plans, clearances, and get airplanes to land at busy airports with perfect timing.

Why is accurate time important?

Controlling many airplanes is challenging because they fly fast and may cross many time zones in one flight. This is why both air traffic controllers and pilots all refer to UTC – Coordinated Universal Time. It becomes more complex when you have different time zones in the same country such as in Australia. This is when the Sapling Time Zone Clock becomes an asset to air traffic controllers as they can view different time zones, including UTC, at a glance.

The Sapling Time Zone Clock is set to receive accurate time data, so all clocks are synchronized together. In addition, each clock can display a different time zone, this way the time of each pre-selected zone can be viewed. This allows better and safer coordination between the air traffic controllers that are located in different geographical locations when handing off airplanes from one control center to another.

What Time Zone Clock options are available?

The Sapling Time Zone Clock is available with 3 to 7 clocks, each representing a different time zone. The zone clock is available in different types, sizes and design styles such as: analog, digital, round, square, and many other options to choose from.

Professional Time Zone Clocks are used for many applications and in many industries. The use of them in the aviation industry is only one example, but the sky is the limit!

Let the Sapling Time Zone Clock be at your service and aid you and your team in the next time critical mission!

The Sapling Company Introduces a New Frequency Option to Their Wireless System for International Use

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Sapling Company Introduces a New Frequency Option to Their Wireless System for International Use

HUNTINGDON VALLEY, PA – October 9, 2013 – The Sapling Company, a leading synchronized clock system manufacturer, is proud to announce a new optional frequency range for use internationally. Within the United States, the FCC has deemed certain frequency ranges as open for common use. Internationally, the open frequency range can differ from the US, and Sapling’s new frequency range helps to ensure thorough wireless signal coverage, regardless of which country it is installed in.

Sapling’s standard Wireless Clock System operates on the 915-928 MHz frequency, which is an open frequency in the United States and does not require the purchase of a FCC license, saving money throughout the life of the system. The new optional frequency range operates on the 2.4 GHz frequency band and does not require extra government licensing internationally. While the 2.4 GHz frequency is sometimes thought of as a WiFi frequency band, the system does not require any type of WiFi system infrastructure, it operates over radio frequency. Sapling’s frequency hopping technology allows each clock to frequency hop the transmission to all of the surrounding secondary clocks, enabling it to receive the correct time, even if there is interference on any of the frequencies.

“We are very excited to be able to offer our international customers a wireless system that functions on the 2.4GHz frequency band,” said Oren Ben, Sapling’s International Marketing Analyst. “The 2.4GHz band is considered an open band internationally and will offer more flexibility in use in the international market.”

Sapling’s Wireless Clock System eliminates the need to modify the infrastructure of a building to install expensive wiring. The Wireless System starts with a master clock sending accurate time to the secondary clocks, which then act as repeaters and send out the signal out to other secondary clocks that are within range. This system is highly efficient in achieving accurate, synchronized time throughout a facility.

The wireless clock system from Sapling is also easily controlled from a web-based, user-friendly interface. This interface makes it simple for a user to manage the clock system’s settings as desired. The Sapling Company strives to be an innovator in synchronized clock system technology, and the ability to offer a new frequency range for international use strengthens an already full offering of synchronized clock systems, available for use around the globe.

The Sapling Company and CARE Partner to Save Quality Time

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

THE SAPLING COMPANY AND CARE PARTNER TO SAVE QUALITY TIME

HUNTINGDON VALLEY, PA. (July 30, 2013) – The Sapling Company, a leading synchronized clock system manufacturer, is proud to announce that they are partnering with CARE, a humanitarian organization fighting global poverty, to provide master clocks to help synchronize time throughout CARE’s worldwide offices. By utilizing synchronized time systems across a global organization, employees working in different offices around the world can work in complete harmony with one another.

CARE operates in places around the world where access to the Internet is challenging. Having hosts and router clocks synchronized plays a vital role in communications and applications. Multiple users over an IP service, security firewalls, high traffic LAN systems and server timing drifts cause standard NTP services to reset timing, causing asynchronous transmissions. When data transmissions become asynchronous, VoIP users experience “jitter” which manifests as a distortion or stutter of voice or video communications. For CARE, these communications can be critical.

Greg Sjogren, Chief Technology Officer for CARE said, “By relying on highly accurate, synchronized time from Sapling products, instead of standard NTP services, CARE’s communications and applications can operate more effectively and efficiently.”

“Sapling is pleased to be working with CARE and sponsoring time synchronization equipment, helping to keep all 73 of their offices in sync. We hope our partnership allows them to focus on what they do best, humanitarian efforts around the world,” said Lou D’Amelio, Sapling’s Director of Sales and Marketing.
Sapling is looking forward to providing assistance to a humanitarian focused organization like CARE; which strives to fight global poverty by working alongside impoverished women because, equipped with the proper resources, women have the power to help whole families and entire communities escape poverty.

About CARE: Founded in 1945 with the creation of the CARE Package, CARE is a leading humanitarian organization fighting global poverty. CARE places special focus on working alongside poor girls and women because, equipped with the proper resources, they have the power to lift whole families and entire communities out of poverty. Last year CARE worked in 84 countries and reached 83 million people around the world. To learn more, visit www.care.org.
