The Sapling Company and CARE Partner to Save Quality Time

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

THE SAPLING COMPANY AND CARE PARTNER TO SAVE QUALITY TIME

HUNTINGDON VALLEY, PA. (July 30, 2013) – The Sapling Company, a leading synchronized clock system manufacturer, is proud to announce that they are partnering with CARE, a humanitarian organization fighting global poverty, to provide master clocks to help synchronize time throughout CARE’s worldwide offices. By utilizing synchronized time systems across a global organization, employees working in different offices around the world can work in complete harmony with one another.

CARE operates in places around the world where access to the Internet is challenging. Having hosts and router clocks synchronized plays a vital role in communications and applications. Multiple users over an IP service, security firewalls, high traffic LAN systems and server timing drifts cause standard NTP services to reset timing, causing asynchronous transmissions. When data transmissions become asynchronous, VoIP users experience “jitter” which manifests as a distortion or stutter of voice or video communications. For CARE, these communications can be critical.

Greg Sjogren, Chief Technology Officer for CARE said, “By relying on highly accurate, synchronized time from Sapling products, instead of standard NTP services, CARE’s communications and applications can operate more effectively and efficiently.”

“Sapling is pleased to be working with CARE and sponsoring time synchronization equipment, helping to keep all 73 of their offices in sync. We hope our partnership allows them to focus on what they do best, humanitarian efforts around the world,” said Lou D’Amelio, Sapling’s Director of Sales and Marketing.
Sapling is looking forward to providing assistance to a humanitarian focused organization like CARE; which strives to fight global poverty by working alongside impoverished women because, equipped with the proper resources, women have the power to help whole families and entire communities escape poverty.
